Jackson Weichel scored four touchdowns as the Eagles rallied from touchdown runs of 75 and 90 yards and a kicked conversion by Jared Wayne on the first two offensive series of the game to defeat the Stars 52-14 in Kinsmen Minor Football League junior semifinal action at Kenner Collegiate Saturday.Weichel scored on runs of 55, 46 and 27 yards and on a 50-yard kickoff return.
Drew Wood scored on runs of 60 and seven yards, Boston Banilevic from five yards out and Daniel Challice on a 35-yard kickoff return.
The Eagles added a safety and Zach Vesnaver kicked two converts.
In the other game, Matthew Stevens scored five touchdowns, on runs of 25, 65, 76, 44 and 62 yards and Emma Lindsay kicked a league record five converts to lead the Steelers past the Chargers 46-12.
Landon Hartwick scored on a 10-yard run.
Isaac Tate scored on a 75-yard run and Chase Batley from a yard out for the Chargers.
In senior play, the Eagles hung on to beat the Steelers 18-14. Devin MacCullum scored on runs of 11 and six yards and Bobby Hancock on a nine-yard scamper for the Eagles.
Mike MacNeil scored on an 11-yard run and Joel King on an 85-yard run for the Steelers.
The Stars upset the regular-season champion Chargers 8-2 in the other senior semi.
Jaron Kaller scored the only touchdown on an 11-yard run. Each team recorded a safety in the defensive battle.
